Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino Jockey’s Quarters

When Prairie Meadows Race Track and Casino made the decision to replace their Jockey's Quarters and Paddock between the 2005 and 2006 horse racing seasons, they knew the construction schedule would be critical. They turned to Graham Construction because of their proven track record of completing difficult projects at Prairie Meadows with very tight schedules. The project consisted of demolishing the old Jockey's Quarters and Paddock and construction a new 9500 SF Jockey's Quarters with men's and women's valet and locker rooms. The locker rooms included showers, suana, steam room, whirlpool and massage areas. A large commercial kitchen, dining area and lounge is also available to the jockeys as well as laundry and silk storage areas. The project also included a new paddock and walking ring with rubberized surface and extensive landscaping. Graham was able to start some of the site utilities work in early September; however the majority of the project was not started until after the racing season ended in early October of 2005. The project was completed before the start of the 2006 racing season in March.
