Graham Construction was selected as the contractor for the Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa because of their twenty year relationship with Mercy Medical Center and their healthcare construction expertise. The project is a twelve room free standing hospice facility that was completed in two phases. The first phase completed in June of 2000 included the entire building shell and finishes for six of the hospice rooms and support spaces. Phase two completed the finishes for the remaining six hospice rooms. The total project consisted of 20,000 square feet and included twelve hospice patient rooms, a meditation courtyard, family gathering rooms and administration areas.
