The Mercy Therapeutic Radiation Addition (TRA) involved a 3,200 square foot addition to house a new linear accelerator, staff lounge, conference room and doctor’s offices. The linear accelerator is housed in a concrete vault with walls that ranged from three feet to six feet thick. Virtual windows and backlit “Sky Tiles” were included in the Linear Accelerator room to provide a relaxing environment. During the addition, a phased interior remodel of the existing TRA space was also being completed. Throughout the entire project, Graham worked closely with the Mercy TRA staff to minimize disruption and keep the Mercy TRA functioning at all times.
