After receiving their Critical Access Hospital designation Clarke County Hospital realized that their next step to improving their healthcare services to the community was to improve and update their facilities. They turned to Graham Construction for Construction Management services. With 12,500 square feet of addition, 25,000 square feet of renovation, and an extensive infrastructure upgrade, the team had significant budget issues to deal with. By working closely with the owner and the design team, Graham Construction was able to incorporate a more cost effective foundation and structural steel system, as well as determining that a completely new mechanical system was more economical than trying to reuse the old system, which required the construction of a basement under the facility. In addition, Graham Construction developed a phasing schedule that was much more efficient and cost effective.
