Graham Construction completed a major addition and renovation project for Cass County Memorial Hospital in 1997. Thirteen years later the relationship and trust that they have in Graham continues. Cass County Memorial Hospital has hired Graham as the Construction Manager for their next major project that will begin in early 2011. After reviewing a major phased renovation of the Surgery Department, Patient Rooms, and Emergency Department, it was determined that a new 42,000 square foot two story addition was the most cost effective approach. The addition will house an expansion of the Emergency Department and a new Surgery Center on the first level and all new private patient rooms including 4 ICU Rooms and 4 LDRP Birthing Rooms on the second level. A small 1,200 square foot clinic addition and renovation is also included in the first phase of this project.
The second phase of the project will renovate 20,000 square feet of the existing hospital including Physical Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Pharmacy, Infusion Clinic and portions of Radiology. The existing patient wing will be demolished following the renovation to make room for additional parking. A major upgrade of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure will also be completed during this project.
The final design of this project will lead to a significant increase in staff efficiency and optimizes the area of the hospital functions to maximize Medicare reimbursements under the Critical Access Hospital program.
