350 East Locust

350 East Locust is a very unique mixed-use project located in Des Moines’ East Village. The 41,600 SF facility has retail shops on the first level, 21 apartments ranging from studio to one and two bedroom units on floors 2 – 4 and a 5th floor office penthouse. The striking design uses a unique blend of brick veneer, curtain wall glass and a CORTEN steel panel rain screen system. The building structure shell is constructed with structural steel and precast floor decking with concrete topping.

The apartments are finished with polished concrete floors, exposed precast concrete ceilings, and drywall interior walls. The kitchens have maple cabinets with solid surface countertops. The apartment balconies and the fourth floor roof top terrace offer wonderful views of the gold domed state capital building.
