Pocahontas Community Hospital had undertaken several addition and renovation projects in the past but were frustrated by the Design-Bid-Build delivery method that they had used. They turned to Graham Construction because of their excellent track record using the Construction Management as an Advisor delivery method and their expertise in healthcare construction for their latest project. The new 6,000 square foot addition included a dining room, administration area, conference room, board room, medical records and a mechanical penthouse. Also included in the project was a complete renovation of their lab, the Cafeteria serving line, main entrance, clinic entrance and a phased mechanical system upgrade to the clinic. The Administration addition, Lab renovation and Clinic mechanical upgrade were all able to be completed in the first phase of the project. Once the Administration addition was finished, the staff moved into the new addition and the renovations to the serving line, home health offices, main entrance and adjacent spaces were completed.
