St. Luke’s Hospital continues to expand their reach in Cedar Rapids by opening a clinic in the north east suburb of Marion. To accomplish this they partnered with Graham Construction and Solum Lang Architects to convert an existing mattress factory into a clinic. The mattress factory also had a mattress retail store attached which had to stay intact and operational during construction. The 17,600 square foot facility was divided into three different clinics connected by a new 2500 square foot addition which created a common entrance and focal point for the patients. The tenants included an Urgent Care Clinic, a Physical Therapy Rehab Clinic and a multi-specialty pathology lab service.
