Loring Hospital had a vision of updating and improving their hospital, but they needed a healthcare construction expert to help them fulfill their visions. They selected Graham Construction to help them develop the most cost effective approach to addressing their facility needs. Loring’s building team developed a plan to construct a major addition that houses a new Surgery Department including pre-op and post-op, sterile processing and storage. The addition also includes a new Radiology Department with a new 16 slice CT and digital mammography. This project also included renovating all of the existing double patient rooms into private rooms as well as an addition to add 6 new private patient rooms to maintain their total of 25 beds. Other renovated areas included Emergency, Lab and Administration. The project was completed in nine separate phases over twenty-two months to maintain continuing operations of the hospital. In addition to the 14,320 SF additions and 23,660 SF of renovation, Graham also coordinated an extensive upgrade of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
